Michigan Right To Farm Act

I’ve been researching this law.  It basically give you the right to farm as long as you follow the established Generally Accepted Agricultural Management Practices (GAAMP).  the interesting part is there is no minimum farm size or amount of farm output you have to sell.  Being a state law it supersedes a local city or township law.  This has been cited by many who want to keep backyard chickens, and generally it is working for them.  Some have to educate their local government about state law and put up a bit of a fight, but it appears to be working.  Time to start “farming” on My 10 Acres to get it established that it is a farm.
