Our chickens are starting to lay. We have 5 Leghorns, 4 Rhoad Island Reds that are new this year. Plus 4 ISA Brown’s that are about 18 months old. We think the ISA’s have stopped for the winter and the Leghorns and Rhoad Island Reds are starting. We have been getting 2 or 3 a day and today we got 4 white and 2 brown eggs. So maybe the new chickens are starting to lay since the brown eggs are on the small side.
Still have to work on a way to solve the ice in the water-er and a better feeder and also provide a little more shelter from the wind and snow.
