Planting A Legacy

Great-Great-Grandma Brown’s Hostas

I’ve been living in my forever home for 6 years now. I recently went over to my mother’s house and got some divisions from hosta’s that have been in my family for over 100 years. The details are a bit fuzzy but sometime over 100 years ago when my Great-Great-Grandparents moved to Michigan they brought with them some hostas from their parent’s homestead. My mother has moved them to 3 different houses and now I have them growing at my house. I can’t describe the feeling of planting such a legacy.
